The online portal of thepaper is going to stop charging a premium subscription fee to access its content online instead allowing users to surfaround with wild abandon free from the constraints of walls. f course everything that’s free has a price – and this one is advertising. TimesSelect which provided access to a back catalogue of opinion writing and archives used to cost $49.

Carlsberg and Habeco will each have 29 pct ownership of the joint venture Hanoi Vung Tao joint stock company but no financial details were released. The brewery will have an initial capacity of 500000 hectolitres. Earlier this year the Vietnam Ministry of Industry approved Habeco’s choice of Carlsberg as strategic foreign investor in connection with the planned privatisation of Habeco. The new co-operation in southern Vietnam strengthens this situation Carlsberg said.
