Washington Post – Oct 28, 2007

“When Brendan showed up he looked like a train wreck” Moylan’s brewer Jim Grbac said. “His hair was all wet but at least he was there. The scope and significance of the awards are massive within the craft beer industry. Brewery advertisements and Web sites tout Great American Beer Festival medals as claims to fame and award-winning brewers are practically stalked by autograph seekers at large festivals such as the GABF. The statistics show how tough it is to earn a medal. This year 473 breweries were represented at the GABF and 2793 beers were judged in blind tastings. Both numbers are all-time highs.

Including some beers on tap that are tougher to find. Last night I had Urthel Hop-It on draught. All beers are served in the appropriate glass wear and Ian knows as much about beer as anyone I know… Including some beers on tap that are tougher to find. Last night I had Urthel Hop-It on draught.
