com 2007-10-22 15:45:21 A black bear in a wildlife zoo in Weihai Shandong Province has quite a taste for alcohol. East Anglian Daily Times – Oct 22, 2007
An application to build the new facility at Kempson Way Moreton Hall Bury St Edmunds has now been lodged with St Edmundsbury Borough Council by Greene King. The brewing giant hopes the move would help cut congestion outside its Westgate site and offer an environmentally-friendly way of using the discarded sediment and beer remnants from the bottom of its casks. Because pubs are encouraged to use their 72-pint firkins of beer within three days – during which time the beer is in its best condition – there is usually some wastage. Rich in yeast these leftovers have a high nutritional value.
