Hobsons Mild will be the guest beer in the Strangers Bar in the run up to Christmas after a request by MP for Ludlow Philip Dunne. The beer is brewed in his constituency in Cleobury Mortimer near Ludlow and was voted the best in Britain at the Great British Beer Festival in August. 2% drink was described by judges as having “plenty of hop character”.

For drinkers of craft beer prices may soon be hopping. Also bitter: possible price increases from craft breweries over the next few months because of a shortage of hops and malt.
