With fabulous decor Carib Beer on the house all night and excellent selections from DJ Crazy Neil it is no wonder the beach was filled to capacity with gorgeous ladies and handsome men who we might add all fit comfortably in the “mmm mmm.

Lager is now so cheap that the stores pay more in excise duties than they charge at the till. Mail n SundayA new coalition of medical experts will demand tough action this week on the sale of alcohol including a 10 per cent rise in taxation and a ban on advertising drink products on TV before 9pm. The Alcohol Health Alliance which includes several of the medical royal colleges the British Liver Trust and the charity Alcohol Concern will also call for greater regulation of the drinks industry and compulsory warnings about alcohol’s harmful effects to be included in any form of drink advertising or promotion.

Piling up bargain boxes of beer at supermarket entrances would be banned under Scottish Government plans. And shops will be forced to sell beer wine and spirits away from other goods. Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill wants to restrict supermarket promotions as part of his attack on Scotland’s drinking culture. But business chiefs claim it will hit sales of Scots products such as whisky. And Asda’s Guy Mason said restricting alcohol on display would leave staff constantly stacking shelves to meet demand.

Brewers yesterday warned of an extra 70p on a four-pack of beer and £2 on multipacks in the wake of rises in the cost of raw materials. The Grocer magazine said raw material prices soared over the past year.
