24 2008 03:18 PM The Arizona Republic Two men arrested on suspicion of stealing beer from a gas station Saturday told police they did it because they had been drinking all day wanted to continue but ran out of money. According to a police report Joseph Case and William Michaels were arrested at an apartment complex on Cooper Road just south of Chandler Boulevard after a witness followed them from a Chevron gas station and convenience store on the corner of Chandler and Cooper. As Michaels tried to leave the gas station with the beer a female employee grabbed his shirt in an attempt to stop him causing Michaels to lose his balance and drop the beer the arresting officer wrote. Michaels regained his balance and punched the employee in the forehead.
