According tomarketing documents prepared for financial institutions the company’s sale isexpected within the next three years. Cobra Beer has grown into amajor company that has a significant market share in the UK as well as in Indiawhere in the last 18 months it has struck deals with nine regional brewers andacquired a majority stake in another. The documents identifycompanies SABMiller InBev Molson Coors Carlsberg and Anheuser-Busch as”obvious buyers” with others such as Heineken Kirin and Indian-owned companiesalso “possible buyers”. TheSunday Telegraph today reported that Cobra is trying to secure 13 million poundsfrom investors to help fund its rapid expansion in India.

The three Sacramentans were among 3000 people who sampled beers from 50 microbreweries… In unseasonably hot weather the beer lovers sought out shade and suds suds and shade from 1 to 5 p. It was an unlimited beer sampling event featuring 50 microbreweries though patrons were limited to using a glass holding 3 to 4 ounces. “It’s like tasting wine almost” said Seth Arp 30 of Alameda whose first beer of the day was a smooth Alaskan Amber Ale. “I look for something new. I like trying beers from around the world. “His wife Linda Groening was enjoying herself but she wasn’t pretending to be something she wasn’t.
