byline –> Friday May 23 2008 Belgium-based brewing giant InBev SA is considering a takeover offer for Anheuser-Busch Cos. say two people familiar with the brewer’s plans. These people stress that no decision has been made and that an unfriendly approach would be fraught with complication given Anheuser’s standing as an American icon. InBev’s strategy however may be to incite activist shareholders to take a position in Anheuser. In fact some activists have taken the positions according to these people.
Waste Beer Ethanol to Fuel Democratic Convention Motorpool

Molson Coors along with its U. subsidiary Coors Brewing Company will be the fficial E85 Ethanol Producer for the convention which is set for August 25 through 28 in Denver. Molson Coors is donating all the clean-burning ethanol fuel for the fleet of 400 General Motors flex-fuel vehicles to be used for the convention’s transportation needs.
