which produces Samuel Adams has encouraged hop lovers and malt mavens nationwide sponsoring an annual home-brew contest. Three winners have been named from 1300-plus entries. Now they’ve come together in the “Samuel Adams LongShot Variety Package” a six-pack with two bottles of each. So the 2008 stars include a double India pale ale a traditional bock and a cranberry “white” beer.

” Fidrych presented the game ball to Jim Leyland and his mother who were in the box seats then left the field and re-emerged from the dugout for a curtain call just as he had done so many times four years earlier. In the clubhouse Fidrych sat cross-legged in his grass-stained uniform and sipped a Stroh’s Light with a ripped label. “I haven’t had a happy beer in a long time” he said. It will be screened simultaneously (except on the West Coast) via satellite at 440 theaters nationwide. It’s worth noting that these particular rankings are based on volume of beer produced in 2008. Is this a valued measurement? In one assessment perhaps “more” reflects a measure of how far American beer culture has progressed. These are quite difficult to objectively measure. Tyrone Meadows was supposed to appear before a judge on charges that he tried to sell an extremely rare stein made by Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati. He was arrested Monday but let go. Meadows was recaptured yesterday in Clermont County where he now also faces a charge of failure to pay on back child support. Meadows allegedly stole a Rookwood stein called the "Soaring Sow.
