However the governor may have forgotten that triple bocks can reach over 17%.

  According to a document distributed by the Senate Finance Committee the beer tax would rise by 145 percent per six-pack (an increase of 48 cents a six-pack from the current 33 cents) while a bottle of wine would see a 233 percent tax increase (an additional 49 cents per bottle from the current 21 cents). The tax hikes would generate nearly $60 billion over 10 years.

inc]–> The North Platte TelegraphThe Lincoln County Board of Commissioners motioned a favorable recommendation to the Lincoln County Ag Society’s request for a special designated liquor permit which will allow the Society to have a beer garden at the 2009 Lincoln County Fair for the second straight year. Society President Chad Mahnken announced at Tuesday’s regular meeting of the commissioners that the Society would limit this year’s beer garden to one night as opposed to last year’s trial run of having the beer garden on all three nights of the fair. “Last year we had it for three nights and this year we decided to have for just one night” Mahnken told the commissioners. The beer garden will only be open on the night of the primary musical entertainment which will be Saturday Aug.
